Saturday 12 – Lets explore my neighborhood. Harlem is the neighborhood where Malcon X has lived. It’s also the place where he passed away! He was shot while giving a speech. (the place is near my house by the way). People kind of separate Harlem in two. The Spanish and the Black Harlem. I confess I saw some big mad black brothers that at that time thought “I’m screwed!”. I was with camera, cellphone and everything huh. Tomorrow I gotta go to the church and ask for protection LOL

Sábado 12 – Bora explorar meu bairro, né. Harlem é o bairro onde Malcon X morou. É o bairro em que ele partiu dessa pra melhor também. Ele foi alvejado enquanto discursava. (perto de onde eu moro a propósito). Eles meio que separam Harlem em duas partes. A Espanica e a Black. Confesso que vi cada negão mal encarado que na hora pensei “Agora F!u#!d#e*u!” Eu com câmera na mão, celular e tudo afff. Amanhã preciso ir à missa sem falta! Pedir proteção Hahah

Sunday 13 – The St John Cathedral is beautiful! I went to ask protection LOL. To thank as well, of course! I watched the church service, took communion, everything right to make my mom proud! She keeps asking me if I had the chance to go to a church service. Next I went to Lincon Center to watch a Film Festival. I watched a documentary called War Don Don. It’s good! Check for it on the internet! I talked to the filmmaker Rebeca Cohen, she's very young and smart. She told me about the making-offs of the documentary. It’s about a trial of a war criminal called Issa Sesay. She told me the guy, currently convicted, has French classes, History classes besides some other lil things. They must be kidding me. The prisoner in Freetown, the capital of Sierra Leona, has this things. The guys is better off than I am. :S

Domingo 13 – A catedral St John é linda! Fui pedir proteção, né Hahah Agradecer também, claro! Assisti à missa, comunguei, tudo direitinho pra mamãe ficar contente. Ela vive me perguntando se tive a chance de ir à alguma missa. Em seguida fui ao Lincon Center assistir um Festival de Filmes. Assisti um documentário chamado War Don Don. Muito bom! Procurem na net! Falei com a produtora Rebecca Cohen, novinha, muito inteligente. Contou-me os bastidores do documentário. Trata-se do julgamento de um criminoso de guerra chamado Issa Sesay. Ela disse que o sujeito hoje condenado, tem aulas de Francês, História além de outras cositas. Brincadeira heim. Presidiário em Freetown, capital de Sierra Leone, tem dessas. O cara ta melhor que eu! :S

Monday 14 – Oyga por favor! Te vives aca ? Me olvidé mi claves y pienso si podrías abrir la puerta. Man! I was surprised with my self! I had forgotten my keys and I saw a group of people speaking Spanish in front of my building. I’d like to ask them if any of them had the key to the front door so I didn’t think twice. I shoot the Spanish the way it came to my mind. :D Did I speak right?

Segunda 14 – Oyga por favor! Te vives aca ? Me olvidé mi claves y pienso si podrías abrir la puerta. Cara! Fiquei surpreso comigo mesmo! Tinha esquecido minhas chaves e vi um grupo falando Espanhol na frente do meu prédio. Queria perguntar se algum deles tinha a chave da porta principal. Não pensei duas vezes. Mandei bala no espanhol do jeito que veio na mente. :D Falei certo?

Wednesday 09 – Take a look at my street! I swear, the buildings are so identical that I have to check number by number when I’m getting close to mine. LOL

Quarta 09 – Dê uma olhada na mimha rua! Juro, os prédios são tão identicos que tenho que olhar número por número quando começo me aproximar do meu Hahah

Thursday 10 – Today I caught my self having breakfast on the subway. I was drinking juice, eating cupcake and reading the newspaper. :O Damn! I’m already in the infernal big city routine. It’s almost time to get out of here. Do you remember that video called Sunscream? Do you remember this line? “Live in New York City once, but leave before it makes you too hard.” Yaeh dog! California is waiting for me! Here’s the vídeo for you to remember...

Quinta 10 – Hoje me vi tomando café da manhã no metrô. Estava tomando suco, comendo bolinho e lendo jornal. :O Putz! Já to nessa rotina infernal de cidade grande. Já ta quase na hora de cair fora. Você se lembra daquele vídeo chamado Sunscream? Lembra dessa fala? “More em New York City, mas mude-se antes que a cidade transforme você em uma pessoa dura.” É malandro! California me espera! Aqui vai o video pra você relembrar…

Friday 11 – Alain, Alexi and I went to some bars in Williamsburg - Brooklyn. There’s a name for this that we do by going to bar after bar. It’s called “Bar Hopping”. We drink one beer and go to the other. Of course it’s not possible in Brazil since most of the bars charge for entrance. Now the coolest part of the night! We were looking for a new bar to go and in front of us we saw a girl very well dressed. High heels, tight black pants, sexy bare back shirt, with make up and everything. We were walking down the street and she was a few steps ahead. After 3 blocks she stopped at a lamppost and started unlocking a bicycle (those little ones Caloi style) that was attached to it. She got the biki, rode it and went away! With high heels and everything. I thought she would get into a BMW.! I almost laugh to death !!!

Sexta 11 – Alain, Alexi e eu fomos em uns bares em Williamsburg-Brooklyn. Tem um nome pra isso que fazemos de ir de bar em bar. Chama-se “Bar Hopping”. Bebemos apenas uma cerveja e vamos pra outro bar. Claro que isso não é possível no Brasil pois a na maioria dos bares paga-se para entrar. Agora vem o mais legal da noite! Estávamos procurando um outro bar pra ir e na nossa frente vimos uma mulher muito bem vestida. Salto alto, calça preta agarrada, blusinha sexy com as costas de fora, maquiagem e tudo. Estávamos andando pela rua e ela estava alguns passos na nossa frente. Depois de uns 3 quarteirões ela parou num poste e começou a destravar uma bicicleta (dessas pequenas tipo Caloi) que estava fixada. Ela pegou a bike, pedalou e foi embora! De salto-alto e tudo mano!!!!! Caraca!!….Achei que ela fosse entrar numa BMW! Chorei de rir que até doeu a barriga. Hahahahahahahahaha

Sunday 06 – Today I helped Alain, my new roommate, to shop a new couch. We wouldn’t pay the abusive 100U$ for the delivery so we managed to get the couch at home. After carrying the couch for five floors up (building without elevator) I thought 100U$ was a reasonable and fair price LOL

Domingo 06 – Hoje ajudei Alain, meu novo colega de AP, à comprar um novo sofá. Não iríamos pagar os abusivos 100US pela entrega, portanto, demos um jeito de levar o sofá pra casa. Depois de carregar o sofá por cinco andares “arriba” (prédio sem elevador) eu vi que 100U$ era um preço razoável e justo Hahaha

Monday 07 –Manhattan! What a noisy, crowed, crazy, expensive, superficial place! I’m loving it ! LOL. My apartment is 15-20min far from my office… Not bad hum! Back there in Brooklyn I used to spend 40-50mins to get to the office. By the way, I lost 5 kilos since I got here. The food sucks! Ladies, if you wanna lose weight, come fast! Gentleman, if you wanna keep the good shape, run from here! Anyway, finally in heart of the Big Apple.

Segunda 07 – Manhattan! Lugarzinho barulhento, lotado, maluco, caro, superficial! Tô adorando ! Hahaha. Meu AP fica à uns 15-20mins de distância do meu escritório....Nada mal, né! Lá no Brooklyn eu levava 40-50mins pra chegar ao escritório. A propósito, perdi 5 kilos desde que cheguei. A comida é péssima. Menininhas (de bairro), se querem perder peso, venham rápido! Rapaziada, se querem manter a boa forma, fujam daqui! De qualquer forma, finalmente no coração da Big Apple.

Tuesday 08 – I lost the train to go to work but I couldn’t help stopping to watch these musicians at the Subway Station. Amazing !!! It paid off ! Check this out!

Terça 08 – Perdi o metrô pra ir ao trabalho mas não pude evitar de dar a paradinha pra ver esses músicos na estação. Fantástico!!! Valeu a pena! Dá uma olhadinha!

Sunday 30 – I had always heard about but never had gone to. Today a friend and I went to Hooters. My expectations were too high I guess. The girls weren’t that beautiful, but hot-pants and tight clothes are always good to the eyes! LOL By the way, we went to two other bars in a row. By chance we found this bar called Bikini’s. The barmaids make and serve drinks dressed in bikini’s uhuuuuuuuu. And we ended up at Swits Bar where we meet a bunch of other friends.

Domingo 30 – Sempre ouvia falar mas nunca tinha ido. Hoje eu e um amigo fomos ao Hooters. Acho que minhas expectativas estavam muito altas. As garotas não eram lá tão bonitas, mas shortinhos curtos e roupinhas apertadas sempre fazem bem aos olhos! Rsrs A propósito, fomos à dois outros bares na seqüência. Sem querer encontramos esse tal de Bikini’s Bar. As barmaids preparam e servem os drinks de bikini uhuuuuuuu. E acabamos indo no Swits Bar pra encontrar uma galera.

Monday 31 – The official gadget dealer ! One more day hanging out to shop gadgets….to my sis, friends, neighbor, dog etc. But take a look! Tell me how ironic it is. I want to buy sunglasses case but I can’t. I can’t find it! Damn! I just found in the famous sunglasses stores in Times Square but I ain’t gonna pay 30U$! How come? Another thing, try buying a single pen around here! It’s pretty challenging....

Segunda 31 – Muambeiro oficial! Mais um dia de rolé pra comprar muamba.... pra irmã, pro amigo, pra vizinha, pro papagaio etc. Mas veja só! Me diga quão irônico é isso. Quero comprar estojo pra óculos e não consigo. Não consigo achar! PQP! Somente achei nas lojas famosas de óculos em Times Square mas não vou pagar 30U$ nem F!@$#%$. Como pode? Outra coisa, tente comprar uma só caneta por aqui! É um desafio e tanto...

Wednesday 02 – A three days course ahead of me. I woke up late for the first day, damn! I’m not used to wake up this early. I woke up 6h30am and the course is happening in a city 2 hours from here. Oh my!

Quarta 02 – Curso de 3 dias pela frente. Acordei atrasado já no primeiro dia, PQP! Não estou acostumado a acordar cedo assim. Acordei 6h30am e o curso tá rolando numa cidade à 2 horas daqui. VixMaria!

Thursday 03 –. Today I got to the class in the right time. I woke up 5h30am. Nobody deserves it! The city I’m commuting to is called Morristown in New Jersey. I got back home at 8h00pm and kept studying till 00h00. Tough course…a lot of content for a short period of time and tomorrow I’ll take the final test. Wish me luck!!!

Quinta 03 – Hoje cheguei no horário certo pro curso. Acordei 5h30am. Ninguém merece! A cidade que vou chama-se Morristown em New Jersey. Cheguei do curso às 8h00pm e fiquei estudando até às 00h00. Curso froids.... muito conteúdo pra pouco tempo e amanhã faço o exame final. Desejem-me sorte!!!

Friday 04 – Again waking up 5h30. I’m exhaousted. I dreamed about the content of the course. Service Operation, Demand Management, Pattern Business Activities, Continual Service Improvement… Oh Lord!!! But I did good on the exam! Result soon.

Sexta 04 – Novamente acordando 5h30. Tô exausto. Sonhei com o conteúdo do curso. Service Operation, Demand Management, Pattern Business Activities, Continual Service Improvement…meu Deus!! Mas fui bem no exame! Resultado em breve.

Saturday 05 – I spent the day negotiating. What a business man! LOL. I’ll probably move to a new apartment in Manhattan for the last 2 weeks. It’s near the Central Park. It’s called Harmem. If you checked Manhattan’s map in my last post you know the neighborhood I’m talking about. Wish me luck again!!!

Sábado 05 – Passei o dia em negociações. Um Homem de Negócios (ou menininho de negócios?) Hahaha. Provavelmente vou me mudar pra um novo apartamento em Manhattan pra essas duas próximas semanas. É próximo ao Central Park. O bairro chama-se Harmem. Se você olhou o mapa de Manhattan no meu ultimo post vais saber o bairro que estou me referindo. Desejem-me sorte novamente!!!
